Qingzhu was first incubated inside Meituan Dianping but went solo in January 2019 as a separate company. The company helps independent economy hotels in China which lack digital sales and marketing know-how to increase the volume of online bookings from online travel agencies and improve their operations to help attract and retain consumers. It also offers designs for hotels seeking to become franchised and management assistance for those under its aegis.
Sofina invested in Qingzhu in 2020. The company is also backed by GGV, Hongshan and Source Code Capital.
