Founded in 2010, Lenskart is a leading direct-to-consumer eyewear brand which manufactures and sells popular brands including Vincent Chase and John Jacobs. Lenskart sells its products through an omnichannel platform that includes more than two thousand offline stores across India, South-East Asia and the Middle East, an online store and a home eye-check-up service. In 2022, Lenskart expanded its footprint across Asia by acquiring Owndays, a Japanese eyewear brand and retailer operating over 500 stores.
Sofina invested in Lenskart in 2019 as a co-investor alongside Kedaara Capital. Other investors in the company include among others TPG, KKR, Softbank and Temasek.
