Founded in 2019, Vizgen is a life science company that develops technologies able of mapping spatial genomic information at single-cell resolution to better understand diseases and develop novel therapies. The underlying technology was developed by Prof. Xiaowei Zhuang and her team at Harvard University. Since launch in 2021, Vizgen has been rapidly deploying instruments in genomic research institutes and pharma companies across the globe.
Sofina invested in Vizgen in 2022. Other investors include among others ARCH Venture Partners, Northpond Ventures and Novalis Lifesciences.
