Investment history
Luxembourg | 1998
Since 1998 Sofina gradually built up its position to become a leading shareholder in the company alongside the Luxembourg Government. Upon the divestment of its stake in O3b, Sofina decided to support O3b’s acquisition by SES by subscribing to shares upon SES’ capital increase in May 2016. Such shares Sofina then sold in 2017. In the first half of 2018, Sofina reduced its stake by almost by half. Sofina is represented on the board of directors. Its representative is also member of the audit and risk committee.
